Anyone else on this sailing? DH & I, his parents & his SB & wife will be joining us on this sailing

You are going to LOVE that cruise!!

To answer your question, no, we are not sailing that ship on that particular date.

But we have sailed Regent's (Radisson's) Paul Gauguin and I can tell you plenty of details about both the ship and the destination. We took this trip a few years ago, and I remember every single detail as if it was yesterday. I also took hundreds of photos. Please feel free to ask me any questions you care to ask...anything at all. I could happily talk about the PG and Tahiti for hours...it brings back very good memories

Just be warned that you will be spoiled forever after sailing this ship to that location. Nothing else compares.

What a fantastic picture! We are so excited about this cruise! We actually have another cruise booked between now & then, but this one is certainly grabbing my attention. I have so many questions...I will certainly be asking them here, so I appreciate any help you can give. My first question is about air to Tahiti. Did you fly air tahiti Nui & is it really worth it to upgrade to business class or is coach ok?

OH MY GOD we are still talking about how wonderful Air Tahiti Nui's business class was!! Go for it! I promise you won't regret it. They treat you like royalty...it's really really elegant and plush. The airbus is one of the newest ones out there...great entertainment system with Bose, movies, tv shows, etc....and a great map to track where you are (see below). The seats are huge soft and cushy and lay way back...but the best part is the flight attendants come around with rolling carts of fresh homemade food set up sort of like a buffet...you want more of the ginger chicken? Here you go...and some more Tahitian rice to go with that? They spoon it on your plate until you say 'enough'. If you don't like that wine let me see which ones we have in the back...etc. It will forever change what you think of as airplane food!

Yepper..and just think...we will BE there before the year is out? Did you get a price for upgrading to BC on the flight? Jim & I have thought about it, but my guess is that it is quite pricey.

So far...it looks like just you guys and us guys on this trip!

upgrades were $2000 per person, I think. We decided to tough it out in coach. We are flying 1st class from here to LAX, so that should help

must be a slow sailing. Only 10 people on this cruise....shouldn't be much of a line at the restaurant.
