If you do a FULL TRANSIT does that mean you DO NOT get off the ship?

A full transit means that you go through 6 different locks ending up in a different ocean that you started in. A full transit may or may not include stopping at a port in Panama but usually does have some ports along the way.

On all the full transits that we have done -- no one is able to get off the ship while it is going through the canal.

It depends on which cruise line.... we did the full transit last month on Celebrity Infinity.

We went from Seattle to Fort Lauderdale with ports along the way. However, we stopped in Gatun Lake and tenders took folks ashore for some excursions. We later picked them up in Cristobal after we had transited the last 3 locks.

Char, when you were taken ashore for excursions was that near Panama City? and what time did you have to be back at the ship in Cristobal Pier?
