I just voted and voted wrong.
Must be tired.
We did do the PC to the Gatun Lake. It was a great cruise, one that I will never forget. We really enjoyed it.
But..I wouldn't do it again. I have many other places to hit before I go back to the PC.

We've taken all three ... liked the full transit best.
While we are not that fond of the Panama Canal, we are very seriously considering doing it again because of the OTHER port stops on the itinerary.

We did both full transit thui the canal from San Francisco to Fort Lauderdale, it was great and also the partial transit into Gatun lake. While waiting in the lake we had a nice luncheon set up for the Diamond members with some of the crew who ran the ship. Very interesting conversations from our tablemates and the chief engineer who was sitting with us.
We want to go again possibly next year. We both enjoyed the locks, and having a lovely day on our balcony. I brought some asti spumante, and went to the buffet and got a nice plate full of munchies, as we did the transit.
I didn't like going up top where the crowds of people trying to see everything was a little to much for us. Although you do get the best pictures while up there. And there are times duringthe full transit that the crowds thin out.
Thank you. It is really one of the best canal sites that I have found and I love their live cams. Did you notice that you could request that the angle of one of the cameras be moved? It is a great way to "be there" when your friends go through the lock.
One caveat. Just be careful to not play it at work if you have speakers. They have the sounds of ships blowing their horns during the animation sequences.
