Post Pacific Princess our first cruise

Hi everyone.

Well we are hooked!! We had a wonderful cruise on board Pacific Princess sailing from Sydney Australia and visiting the islands of New Caledonia and Vanuatu five ports in all. The ship was a dream; everything was much more than what we expected. The food was out of this world and so beautifully presented. The cabin was great with our own little balcony, the entertainment was really good, and just the general running of the ship was astounding and so very effecient. The tenders were fascinating to watch, we were in awe. Unfortunately I did become sea-sick but a visit to the doctor soon put me right, it won't stop me going on another cruise though, we are already talking about our next one. Yes cruising is very addictive!!!

Talking Welcome Back!

Hi Gilly,

Glad to hear you had a great time. You are now hooked! Jump right in on all the other threads and begin to plan your next one with us. Take a look at the Calypso Cruisers group in January 2007. You won't reget it. It is going to be a blast. So far, the group consists of 30 somethings, 40 somethings, 50 somethings, and even parents in the 60's and 70's.

It is the perfect opportunity to join a group cruise to the Caribbean. Check out our crazy leader, Chucksta! He's a nut!:kingofhil

Yes, you are so right Sue. We are thinking of a bit bigger ship next time, maybe Sapphire Princess visiting Australia (eastern states) and New Zealand. We hail from the west so have to fly to Sydney for the cruises that we are interested in, not that I am complaining.

Hey.......you have been bitten by the cruise bug.

If you have the opportunity to sail Sapphire, go for it. Although a Grand Class ship like Star, Grand, and Golden the small design changes they did for Sapphire/Diamond made a great difference. The aft area is truly spectacular and the view from the balcony of Skywalkers is (to use a word I rarely use) awesome.
