Thread: Pacific Princess Holyland Med Cruise 9-5-2008

Hi All,

I thought I would start a board for this cruise.
My husband Frank and I are very excited to sail on this wonderful itinerary which includes, Venice, Split Croatia, Alexandria and Port Said Egypt, Ashdod and Haifa Israel, Ephyses Kusadashi Turkey, Patmos Greece, Santorini Greece ending up in Athens.

I would think that Early Selptember should be a wonderful time to sail the med.
If anyone has any insights or advise and tips, please share. Any comments on the Pacific Princess? We lucked out with a back aft balcony cabin.

My only fear is leaving in September during hurricane season. We will leave 2 days early to prevent jet lag and got FF tickets RT non stop (First class on Delta).

Congratulations on your cruise! It sounds wonderful. How many days?

Wish we could go, too, but we are sailing in October (also on Princess...the Crown)

Hey Char,

The cruise is 12 nights. Will do two pre cruise nights in Venice, and one in Athens.
Got flights from Gville to Atlanta-and non stop Venice and Athens both directions.
Worst case scenerio, we could drive up or down. But leaving, our departing flight gets out at 2:30pm so it might be before the rains hit.

I will have almost 21 days off work with weekends..

sound like fun i cant wait till i take a cruise to Europe hopefully by the end of next year. its goign to be a family cruise and i wanna take it on the princess cruises as well heard it was a great ship.
