I have been to the South Pacific a number of times already but I doubt I will go again due to the very long travel time and expensive air fare.

Time and money are what stop me.

I voted too far away and travel. If I hit the lotto, I would do it though. That way I could do at least 30 or more days and wouldn't have to fly some ungodly amount of time.

Seems like our reason is the same as Lars and Stephen and Hanna! Too far and too much money.

Time/distance....we have the time, but it's too far for us old fogies to travel....can't sit on a plane that long.

Money---don't have enough for a cruise like this and the air fare, too. We could take several cruises for what it would cost us to take a far away exotic cruise.

My only real reason is that it's just TOO FAR! The idea of the long flights involved makes me tired just thinking about it!

Glad we went (business thing) when we were young!

I am chomping at the bit to do a Paul Gauguin cruise. My clients swear by it. They say it's all inclusive with alcohol and just a fantastic cruise. The long air flight is probably one of the things that bother me as I'm not even happy on a 2.5 hour flight to Florida!

So far seems most of us have a problem that it's soooooooooo far away -- travel time and/or the airline expense this would mean ....

No one had said they didn't like it.

We have been to Tahiti twice in the last few years. It really is fantastic, totally worth the expense and long flight.

I want to try something totally different now. Maybe Africa or Egypt.

THL, I highly recommend both Africa and Egypt. Both are fascinating and different from any place I'd been before. But, be ready for the heat.
