I'm another one who checked to far away! I would LOVE to go to the South Pacific but only if we can fly business class, or even better sail there. That's where the "too much money" comes in. I should have also checked "health reasons." I have an artifical knee and ankle and there's no way I could take such a long flight without being able to elevate my legs!

When we were younger, we flew to Australia/New Zealand and spent 2 weeks there. It was FABULOUS and I so want to go back. When we flew home from NZ, we arrived in Atlanta 1 hour before we left.

We live in Texas!! Egypt will feel like home!! We just went to Florida and it felt cool by comparison.

ANY place is cool by comparison. We have both the heat and the humidity.

Was not planning on the SP but with my daughter maybe getting married in Australia, there is now a slight possibility of us going in that direction (A cruise from Hawaii to Sidney- not that much more than a business class flight.)

Like everyone else, it's a combination of things for us. We haven't found the right itinerary that can justify the long flights and the long time off from work - yet. DH wants to see lots of islands that were WWII battle sites. I want to see where Gaugain painted. The WWII sites only get added to cruises once in a blue moon, and we missed the 60th anniversary cruises.

That sounds like an episode from the Twilight Zone.
