I have just returned from a cruise on the Marco Polo. We did 3 shore landings to walk among the penguins, and also a zodiac cruise. The whole experience was fantastic. I reccommend it. We were blessed with good weather too. Unfortunately. the Marco Polo is not doing the antarctic cruises any more, which is a great shame.

I went on the Marco Polo earlier this year. I would recommend the ship, but it has been sold and is not doing the Antarctic any more. But do go if you can get another recommendation, as it was a fantastic experience. We were blessed with wonderful weather. We did 3 landings by zodiac boat, and walked among the penguins. We saw many seals and whales and lots of seabirds including albatrosses. The scenery is spectacular. Don't forget your wellies though! We also had 4 nights in Buenos Aires, and it is a wonderful city. We also went to Iguazu falls, on the border of Brazil, We stayed one night there to see the fallls from Brazil and Argentina. They are better than Niagara and I am told they are better than Victoria falls too. We went on a boat trip which took us for a soaking under the falls. It was great fun. Go if you get the chance. You see lots of wonderful wildlife in the rain forest around the falls. Coatis, toucans, caymans, lizards, and monkeys if you are lucky. The experience of a lifetime.

Margaret, have you got pictures to share? I would dearly love to see some of you and the penguins.

We saw Penguins at Cuverville Island, Paradise Harbour, Half Moon Island and Port Lockroy. They showed no fear of us.
