Barbados is a beautiful place...I was there on Christmas Eve, and there was Island Christmas music everywhere...only bad thing was that the shops closed early...how dare they!! We took a taxi and got a tour of the island...we saw the countryside, and where the people lived and the animals etc...then stopped at a pretty beach...although the water was a little cloudy that day. I want to go there again someday...

Tell us more.
What was it about Barbados that was so lovely?
Were the beaches pretty?
Is the snorkeling good there?
What stands out in your mind about the island?
Am I asking too many questions? Huh? Huh? Huh?

I was there in March and what a beautiful island. We did everything major that I think there is to do there. We first had a tour of the island and then went to Harrison Caves. Definitely, do not miss this cave. Out of this world it is. Then on to Bathsheba where the surfing is great. We did not surf but got an opportunity to see where it is done. Again, beautiful. Up to a mountain view where pictures were taken and then we were taken to a wildlife reserve where you could walk in amongst the animals. You entered there habitat and as long as you stayed on the walking paths it was incredible. They were all around you. Next we went onto a beach where we were taken aboard a glass bottom boat and could see down in to the water. WOW! Lots and lots of fish with beautiful colors. Then we went snorkelling out of the same glass bottom boat with big, big turtles. A dream I have always had and wanted to do. I even got to touch them. We also stopped for lunch at a roadside cafe and enjoyed some of the food of Barbados. We had a great independent tour operator that was with us for the whole day. We returned to the ship 1 1/2 hours before departure. We had enough time to see the small shops along the pier and then back to the ship. This was probably the best day trip of the whole cruise. Barbados is a beautiful place to see. I highly recommend it.

My Signature Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

What about Europe?

It looks like we will have a few people cruising there in the next year or 2. Jim is already posting questions for his Jewel cruise, and as I find info for my Danube cruise, I will post it as well. Some of the newcomers we haven't heard from might be interested in this as well.

You might think about adding Canada as a separate destination. We have cruises on both coasts in the Summer and Autumn, and I'm sure people have questions.

How about grouping by Region (e.g., Med, Baltic, Alaska, South America, Antartica, Pacific Isands, Hawaii (separate because of traffic), etc.) then drill dow to individual ports/cities folks want to discuss.
