    Ziplining!

Who has been ziplining? I know it's available in Costa Rica and Roatan - where did you do it? How scary is it?

Is there a maximum weight or height? Is there a minimum height or age? Some friends want me to do this in Costa Rica on our next cruise and I need to know how much weight I have to lose, and how much Valium to bring.

For those of you new to this, ziplining is when you climb up to a high platform in a large group of trees, and they hook you to a guide wire that you slide down to various other platforms in the trees. You wear a harness, a hard hat, and most likely a startled look as you wonder why you are doing this.

MC, I've checked into this as we were going to do it in Puerto Vallarta once. We didn't get signed up in time so didn't do it. Yes, there is a weight limit, it's high and there is an age limit. I still regret not being able to do that, I was SO jazzed about it! I will one day do it, I've made that promise to my self. I live about 3 1/5 hours from Whistler, BC and I may just have to go up there and try it. A friend of mine did it up there and from talking to him, I think it may be higher up than most!

Wow, it never occurred to me that they would have this on a ski slope! It seems more environmentally friendly to me, but much COLDER!!!!

MC - If I were on your cruise, I would come along with you... not to 'zip' myself, to to take pictures of YOU zipping!
