    Mexican Riviera 11/10/07

Has anyone else scheduled this cruise? So excited, celebrating 5 year wedding anniversary. Honeymoon cruise was on the Carnival Inspiration, so I am looking forward to seeing how HAL and the Oosterdam compares. Could barely afford an ocean view cabin when we got married, so very much looking forward to our veranda room on this cruise!

Congratulations on your UpComing 5 year Anniversary

While I am not booked on that week for the Oosterdam I do know the Oosterdam and the Mexican Riviera VERY WELL!!

We will be returning to the Oosterdam December 15 and again Feb 9th with a very large group of friends

We have cruise on the Oosterdam 4 previosu time and actually done the Meixcan Riviera 5 times with HAL.

I think you will love the Oosterdam we had friends that travel with us in Oct. 2005 that had been on the Carnival Spirit (I think) the year prior and loved the Oosterdam.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Thanks! It's good to hear a favorable comparison vs. Carnival. I had considered booking the Carnival Pride instead, but decided to go with HAL.

We have also done several Mexican Riviera cruises - but not on the Oosterdam. We sailed on the Oosterdam when she did Caribbean cruises.

Our Mexican Riviera cruises were on the ships that do 10 day cruises or repositioning cruises.

The Oosterdam is a beautiful vessel. We've sailed on her twice, and loved it both times. Holland America does a wonderful job - you will be pleased with your choice.

We love outside cabins (and of course, verandahs are awesome); but last year we were in a large "J" class inside cabin on the Oosterdam, and it was huge. We did not feel claustrophobic at all. My dh does prefer being able to see the sea from our cabin, so our next cruise will be an ocean view.

Keep us posted on your trip. We rejoice with you!

And congratulations on your anniversary - marriage is a tremendous gift.
