Actually Anneli, the movie Speed 2 was filmed at the docks in St. Marteen in the Caribbean. The movie studio did a lot of building down there for the movie.
You are 100% correct about Airplane! That was Otto, the autopilot.

We are Netflixers so we don't go out to the movies very often anymore. Rita started reading the Nicholas Sparks book 'The Lucky One' so she talked me into taking her to see the movie when it was released last weekend. There were a lot more women there then men, but for being a chick flick it was a pretty decent movie.
What we couldn't believe it what the movie cost! The tickets were $9.50/ea and our popcorn and soda combo cost $18.75. That's almost 40 bucks. Boy were we surprised! Also, it was a 4:30 matinee and no senior discount!
Saw Titanic in 3D and the quality was better than years ago in movies like Honey I Shrunk the Kids. It was expensive for the two tickets - 30.50 (including Fandango's fee). Now the movie theater we went to was worth the extra cost. It has better seats, more seats, larger screen, better quality surround, clean, just a great atmosphere. We have a theater 3 minutes from the house and will rarely return now![]()
I also have 3D on my TV - while I have not used it much, I must say it is much better than earlier releases. It provides 1080 quality in both eyes giving true HD 3D experience. I did not buy the TV for the 3D but am happy the option is there for us.
Anyway, just saying maybe give 3D a second chance. I remember seeing HP in 3D and it SUCKED out-loud. The quality was bad, the glasses did not cover eyes well (they tried to be cute giving glasses shaped like Harry's) so it left lots of room for your peripheral view to go nuts.

Dan, it just hurts to spend that much on a movie......
Most of the critics are stating that 3D is more of a gimmick to upscale the product than it is to make things better. Try watching a 3D version and a HiDef version of the same movie. Guess which one looks better and more realistic?
