I agree, great photo. I was just thinking Id like to be there but the crowds would be too awful to deal with. .. and then I see that photo.

Great photo, welcome aboard. Most of us have been banned from the Dark Side. Everyone here is wonderful.

I got lucky, you have about 20 secs to shoot as many shots as you can get and you hope to get one. I use a Nikon 700 shooting with a 70 to 300 Nikor Lens. I have a number of pictures on this site.

Loved the photo and thanks for sharing. The Royals are heading our way soon but since we have closed car travel here you have to at one of the events or very close by to get a look. I love the hats!!

Fabulous photo of Kate and William. They're in Santa Barbara right now and will be heading back this way soon. Probably best to stay off the ol' 101 this afternoon. I'm glad they're enjoying the sights.

As for the dark side, as many of us call it, it does seem that the admins do pick and chose which subjects they shush up. Rather than keep a thread going about a much discussed topic, it's quickly locked up. Then someone else starts up another thread on the same subject. Wouldn't it be just better to keep the original one opened? Oh, well. And I imagine it is frustrating for members to ask for info or recs about a tour or TA but not be allowed to mention names. And there's no PM mechanism at all so that you can share info offline.

And Welcome. This is a different world here, a better place, a much healthier environment, and just the nicest group of people. I like it when these kind of threads start up from time to time here.

If you surf the internet and even older threads on this site you will find there is a collective knowledge about how [poorly] that site is run and you are dead on, if you are not one of the darlings, who have their own army for protection to boot, you will be bullied, picked on and misunderstood by the mods.

Consider yourself very lucky to be gone from there and once again....
