Don't we all.........
The way I look at it is if the economy fails we will not need money anyway so why not invest in case it recovers.

Taking a Data Structures course again this semester. My old one did not transfer over - some schools are so picky about that stuff.
Been fun learning about Linked Lists and Recursion all over again...Not that I really forgot in the first place. I will admit that even though I took the course at my old school, understood the topics and received an A, still need to study for the exams. Learned that the hard way, being a little under prepared for the first quiz. Very simple quiz with very simple answers and I completely fubar the entire thing... Glad it was only a few points of the overall grade... It was a small price to deflate my head a bit and I got a 100 on the next quiz and will be studying hard for the mid-term on Monday.
Anyway brought it up just to hear thoughts - is the course really as hard as the others make it seem or are they just not getting fairly simple (although advanced) topics?

Some people can juggle six balls. I can't - even if I spent a lot of time practicing it.
Some people understand the concepts of linked lists and recursion - others don't. I remember my first computer course. Everything the prof said was very obvious to me. Most of the rest of the class struggled through what I thought were very easy concepts.
When we had our own company, I picked up databases very quickly and tried to teach others how to do them. Most of the people were crash and burn, but my wife picked them up right away. Show her one time and she could not only do whatever it was, but apply the principals.
Yep that is a very true aspect that I never thought of. Some can do it, others cannot. Last night at dinner my G/F was asking about Access saying she would like to know the basics of it. I told her we have it just use it. I also said remember this... "Database Normalization" and "create tables" I gave her a very easy small example of database normalization but she understood. Not sure she would apply it correctly in real life, but that is okay it was a 2 minute lesson.
