Smile Cruise ship models over the world

I build ship models. Some years ago i started to dream about ship model with radio control system. In one beautiful summer day tould my grandmother about ship modelling hobby croup. I was happy to hear that and I finished skiing trainings and in autumn I went to the Hobby croup. In first day I tould about my model kits to the hobby croup teacher. He thinked a bit and I was received to group. It was in year 2008. My first work was one sailing boat. The second work was one luxury yacht model. My purpose was build up one cruise ship model. I drawn plans about the ferry Silja europa. I use photos and my drawings for building. It not the best but it better than nothing. Since year 2008 december I have building the Silja europa model. Soon I get complete my Silja europa and for next I will build Hal Prinsendam.

I do researchs about cruise ship models what had been build up in the world.
Here I will post any info, pictures and photos about cruise ship models.

    Questions welcome

Cool. Not cruise ships, but here's a few historic ship models I've built over the years.

I can't imagine how long time went for such model. On sailing ships are ropes a lot and can't imagine how was rapes put to ship model.

USS Constitution took me about three years. Prince took about a year. They are scratch built plank-on-frame (just like the actual ship). Constitution actually uses a couple of small pieces of the wood from the actual ship -- it was reconstructed by the Navy in 1932 and the recovered wood from 1797 was available to Naval historians. The original wood was used to create the anchor stanchions on my model.

The guns -- but not the guns mounts --are bought, but most all other pieces are hand made.I got the plans for Constitution from the US National Maritime Museum.

Yesterday, at the ship modelling hobby croup I read a catalogue about modelling. I Happened to read about MS Hanseatic model kit. It was amazig model. In description was detailed owerview about the Hanseatic system. WOW, It have real lights, detailed decks and any other fun settings. The model have horn system too
Bad thing is its price. In kroon a bit over 12 thousands and in euros it cost ~ 800 € So cost the Hanseatic hull but any details and engine system cost ~700€.
At seeing prices I surrender of plans to buy the hanseatic model. Maybe I buy it in future then bossible.

Here somephotos about MS Hanseatic model here
    Photos from catalogue Robbe 2006
