And now y'all know why I just started that thread with a dozen questions on HAL here instead of the dark side. Didn't want to get the "Do a search" response and wanted to get the right answers.
Yonnie - can't believe your thread on 40,000 posts was removed to floataway! You have always been one of my favorite people over there.
Just started following HAL threads again since we booked the Eurodam but had kind of noticed some new people that were, well, how do I want to say it ... And then there are still some of the ones I recognized from years ago.

I was e-mailed that it had been moved to the Floataway lounge -- didn't bother me. I was expecting it.
I am one of those people who do not tell others to do a "search". I will take the time and answer whatever I can and as often as I have to.
There are a lot of new people on the HAL section on CC -- and I have several of them as well as a couple of old members on my ignore list as I have gotten sick of their sarcastic remarks to me and to others.

Stopped counting after 110 cruises.
Maggie .... Very much agree with you! Thing is ... most of those 40,000 posts were in the DS HAL section.
I seldom go to DS except for Roll Calls ...and don't really know why I do that! Even on the roll calls, they are often quite nasty to each other. Normally find they are folks I'd want to AVOID while on the cruise!![]()

Yes -- on CC you do not get any post points for posting in the Floataway Lounge -- where some people spend hours playing games (Like I do on some days here). The games here are nice. Quite a few years ago I started to play some games on CC when I got bored with everything -- made a couple of mistakes -- and the nasties started -- so I left that section.
Those 40,000 posts are mostly on HAL, Ask A Cruise Questions, and just a few other places.

My beef with CC is basically that whenever there's a good discussion (even contentious is good if info is coming out) and then the thread is closed. Which just means another similar thread will be started by someone the next day. If the original thread was kept opened, it would eventually died out naturally. There's certain subjects that the mods there seem biased about, too.

That's true -- and even on the Ask a Cruise Question -- there are a couple of people there who think they know everything about every ship and every itinerary.
