    NASA Just Made My Day

I had just taken Walker, Florida Feline, outside for a little fresh air when there was a really lound plane noise. Scared Walker. He ran in through the still open door.

I looked up, and, lo and behold, what did I see? A 747 flying so low I could plainly see its front windows. And sitting on top of it - Space Shuttle Discovery!!!!!

Came right over our house - fllying really low, getting ready to land at KSC. HOLY COW - What an incredible sight it was!

About five minutes later, it was safely on the ground at Kennedy space Center's shuttle landing strup. Saw that on TV.

Welcome back, Discovery - And thanks for making my day, NASA.

They didn't show the landing here (at least when I was watching our local news), but they did show footage of the shuttle getting its piggyback ride and it did look impressive that there's a plane that can carry it.
