Maggie, Dru and I were very upset to hear this news. We think a lot of both of you and have you foremost in our prayers. Please keep us updated, and when Hermon feels well enough, give him a big hug from us! Take care and know that we care.

    Love, Rita and Dru

Prayer brings hope and hope brings healing. May God continue to bring comfort. Sending prayers from Southern California.

Thank you everyone! Yesterday was a rough one as he came out of sedation and didn't like the halo as well as having a tracheotmy. Today was much better as he knows that there is a good chance that he will recover and while he can't talk, he does write out questions. And we actually saw that his sense of humor was in tack today. Robert snuck Adlee into see Grandpa and that did him good, well at least for the 30 seconds we were able to get away with it.

Again thank you for the prayers.

Maggie, that is good news indeed! The Lord is good and your Hermon is still there for you, even if he can't speak he can still commuicate with you.

    More prayers continuing.

Maggie, I am so glad to hear that Hermon is doing better today. I bet he sure chippered up when Adlee was there as well. All my prayers continue for you guys. Lots of hugs, Edie.

Maggie, a big Hooray! for Robert for sneaking in Adlee. Even if it was just for a minute that had to cheer Hermon up a lot. Was Adlee scared to see grandpa around all that machinery with the halo and everything?

When I had emergency surgery a couple of years ago, Earl snuck our little dog in to visit me. She was such a good girl and so very quiet the whole time. At less than 2 lb we could always fit her in our coat pocket so the hospital never knew. It helped my disposition SO much seeing her that week.

Tell Hermon to keep his spirits up. Why did they have to do the tracheotomy?
Let your conversation be gracious and attractive, so that you will have the right response for everyone.

    Maggie:

Sorry that I am late to finding out what happened to Hermon. I haven't been on the boards much lately. You and Hermon are in my prayers--big time!! Please keep us posted on how he's doing.

    Hugs,
