Hi Everyone, I put this on the regular prayer request thread but this is so urgent that I wanted as many as possible to see it! I or Tom will keep you all updated as soon as the news gets to us. Thanks for all your prayers in advance! Hugs!!!

Toms son has recently been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Tom's email:

Tues. of this week our son Matt went in to ER for feeling bad all over, blood tests seemed to indicate strep throat, because of high white blood cell count, but all the tests were not completed yet, last evening about 6PM the Doc called us by mistake, to say tests showed Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

We are devastated, today he had a catheter surgically put into his neck vein, tomorrow he goes for SKG and MRI, and more blood tests to see what stage it is in, Monday hew starts chemo and looking ahead to bone marrow implant.

Tom, know that your friends at CLF are prayihng for a good outcome for Matt. God is good and He hears and comforts us in our time of need.

That's the kind of news a parent never wants to hear. It'll be the hardest thing you've ever had to do Tom, but stay as strong as possible for him. Our prayers are with you.

Oh, dear, Tom, I'm sending off many healing thoughts to Matt and his entire family. This is something that no parent wants to face so I'm hoping for a complete recovery. There's so much that modern medicine has learned to help.

God hears all prayers and will be there with you. Know that you are not alone spiritually,physically & emotionally. We are here for you, to listen,comfort, pray and rejoice with you both, when Matt is healed or in total remission.

Know that my heart is with you and Gail as you deal with this very tough news. And God will be with you every step of the way to give you strength and comfort. I will keep Matt, you, and Gail in my prayers until Matt is healed or in total remission.
