    Hubby was keeping track of the weather here per the weather.com site. He said it was warmer at 9pm than it was at 8pm.

    Was driving toward my house this afternoon when I noticed smoke in the air. At least it wasn't in the direction of my house. Turned out there was a mobile home on fire on the freeway. Later on (the LAFD got the fire out in about 20 minutes), we drove by and it looked like the vehicle had pulled over, and the grass by the shoulder caught on fire too.

    We were taking the girl to a movie night at a band parent's house. They have a few of these every summer as a fund raiser (dinner and a movie), featuring movies that were featured in their band productions in the past (tonight was the third Indiana Jones, so I guess it was a show featuring mid-eastern music). The next one will be How to Train Your Dragon, which is the theme of this year's show (I'm guessing what they meant by this is the show they put on for competitions).

    Tomorrow morning, the girl is going with other kids to an astronomy party for the science bowl team. They'll check out the constellations at night (if the sky is clear in the desert) and then sleep under the stars.

    The Southern California weather has been quite a challange for the past week. The Marine layer is back so cool mornings and nights which we love!! Patty out there in the Valley has been hot, hot, hot for you and Family!!
