I'm not sure I can single out a "beautiful place". I've seen alot of them, and there are many more I want to see. Vancouver, British Columbia is really a nice city with the mountains in the background, but much of the coast of B.C. is spectacular. The Eastern Townships of Quebec, around Sherbrooke, is gorgeous all year, but especially in the fall. As Alisa mentioned, Eastern Canada is beautiful all year, some areas more than others. Parts of Hawaii leave you breathless, as does much of Italy. Hard to pick one. However, the more I visit other places, the more I appreciate my own area. This is what I look out on each day. It changes with the seasons, and right now the hills are ablaze with colour.

Laura, I can't tell a lie. August is in the middle of hurrican season, and yes, the portions of Texas that are on the Gulf are always a possible target. Last year, Hurricane Rita hit the city the furthest east in Texas, Beaumont, on Sept. 24, and that was a major storm, with repairs taking months. Houston and Galveston were affected, but mostly broken branches, and broken roof tiles.

I'd like to tell you that if you stay inland (San Antonio is 150 miles from the coast), that you will have no problems, but that isn't totally true. There are still high winds and rain, and that can cause some problems for a few days, but nothing like what you see on TV. In general, storms hit here later in the year, but it is never wise to try to predict Mother Nature.

OK, All you fantastic cruisers. I'd like to reach 1 million frubals before our back to back. We are leaving in 20 days and would sure like to get there before we leave. So if any of you would like to see me reach 1 million before then, just pass the hat and the frubals this way, Thank you very much!!

A tough question! I haven't been all over the world but there are a few places that stand out a bit above others.

Colorado Rockies, especially around the Aspen area...skiing down white slopes with sunshine and beautiful blue skies

Mt, Jungfrau, (top of Europe) in Switzerland...amazing views everywhere you look!

The Caribbean....with the beautiful tourquoise water, each island with different picturesque spots.....and all the pretty flowers!

But no matter where I visit, I always return home.....and in the summer there is our screen porch where we sit and watch our ever changing perennial garden all summer long!!! It's home and a very special place to both of us. Watching the variety of birds come to our water garden, the butterflies and hummers flitting from one flower to another.....O think we just might have created our own Garden of Eden.

It's wonderful to travel....and so nice to come home!!!
    Carol ....................
