Thread: Tahitian Princess to Be Renamed

Princess cruises has announced that the Tahitian Princess is to be renamed Ocean Princess after a routine maintainance in Singapore in November 2009.
The new name is aparently to reflect the ships new worldwide cruise schedule.
Startin this summer, the ship sets off on new worldwide deployments, featuring a Connoisseur's cruise in Alaska, a world cruise in early 2009 and a season of unique Northern Europe sailings next summer. Following the 2009 renaming, Ocean Princess will sail on a series of Asia voyages to be announced separately.

Does this mean there will be no more Tahiti cruises?

Princess will still do Tahiti cruises with the Pacific Princess as of next years fall season.

Oh goodness NO. They will still cruise to Tahiti. They just want to rename the ship so it can be more versitile in the Princess Fleet. Like Cruising the Med or Alaska on the Tahitian Princess would sound kinda funny.
