Scenic cruising in Glacier Bay is the activity of Golden Princess today. Hope its spectacular for Debbie and Reggie.

Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve constitutes two official park units jointly managed by the National Park Service in the Alaska panhandle west of Juneau. President Calvin Coolidge first proclaimed the area around Glacier Bay a national monument under the Antiquities Act on February 25, 1925 Subsequent to an expansion of the monument by President Jimmy Carter in 1978, the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act (ANILCA) enlarged the national monument by 523,000 acres (2116.5 km²) on December 2, 1980 and in the process created Glacier Bay National Park.[4] Similarly ANILCA set aside 57,000 additional acres (230.7 km²) of public land for Glacier Bay National Preserve located to the immediate northwest of the park in order to protect a portion of the Alsek River and related fish and wildlife habitats.

Glacier Bay became part of a binational UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979, was inscribed as a Biosphere Reserve in 1986 and in 1994 undertook an obligation to work with Hoonah and Tlingit Native American organizations in the management of the protected area.[5] In total the park and preserve cover 5,130 square miles (13,287 km²). Most of Glacier Bay is designated wilderness area which covers 4,164 square miles (10,784 km²)

Debbie and Reggie are in Ketchikan today. Weather looks better than in the past when Observations were from there.

Ketchikan is a city in Ketchikan Gateway Borough, Alaska, United States, the south easternmost sizable city in Alaska. With an estimated population of 14,070 in 2010 within the city limits, it is the fifth-most populous city in the state.

Ketchikan's economy is based upon tourism and fishing, and the city is known as the "Salmon Capital of the World." The Misty Fjords National Monument is one of the area's major attractions. For most of the latter half of the 20th century, a large portion of Ketchikan's economy and life centred around the Ketchikan Pulp Company pulp mill in nearby Ward Cove.

Ketchikan is named after Ketchikan Creek, which flows through the town. Ketchikan comes from the Tlingit name for the creek, Kitschk-hin, the meaning of which is unclear. It may mean "the river belonging to Kitschk"; other accounts claim it means "Thundering Wings of an Eagle."

Ketchikan's secondary post office box ZIP code, 99928, is one of the highest ZIP codes ever assigned in the United States, although most residents use the ZIP code 99901. Ketchikan also has the world's largest collection of standing totem poles, found at three major locations: the City of Saxman, Totem Bight State Park, and the Totem Heritage Centre. Many of the totems are replicas of older poles, carved during the Roosevelt Administration through the CCC, or reproduced in more recent decades.

No problems, Norman. But you do make it easy for me to make a smart remark how close Alaska and Cozumel are.....

Golden Princess has arrived in Vancouver completing the second part of Debbie and Reggie’s cruise. Statendam and Zaandam has also arrived at Canada Place Cruise Terminal Vancouver.

Before the cruise started they said they would be ending the cruise in San Francisco, but Golden Princess is only going to Los Angeles, before cruising to Hawaii.

Golden Princess sails at 16:30 local time followed by two days at sea and arriving in Los Angeles on Wednesday morning.
