Amsterdam is heading to Victoria BC, a port she is due to visit in a weeks’ time. She is roughly one day away from her home port of Seattle. Her next cruise is 27 July 2012.

If anyone has ant information concerning this cruise your comments would be welcome.

Vancouver and the surrounding island really is gorgeous viewed from a cruise ship. I hope kirkz is enjoying the spectacle.

Onto the Tracy Arm Fjord passage next, correct?

    A little Trivia - Who's this Tracy?

Tracy Arm Fjord is named after Benjamin F. Tracy, Secretary of the US Navy from 1889 to 1893.

Earl is not on this cruise.

Last August HAL cancelled this 14 day cruise - in place are 2 seven day cruises chartered by by 2 Christian groups. When we got off the ship the crew was putting away all the alcohol bottles and the Casino tables were covered in sheets and plywood to preserve them.

I know the person who booked a large group for the July 13 cruise and she was able to get them all moved over to the June 29th cruise. Earl dropped out of the group -- I have no idea why he never came back here to report in -- he didn't report back in on a couple of other sites as well.

These charter groups can choose what 7 day itinerary they want within reason.

Got to love it (NOT!) when groups do sponsoring like this. It is a major inconvenience for people who were supposed to be on the cruise, hopefully HAL made it up to them. It is kinda' funny the hypocrisy of hiding all the booze and concealing the gaming tables. What did they do with all the slot machines? Cover them up with prints by enlarging the photo gallery?

Good question Neal. I did notice that some of the pictures were in stacks in the Casino -- maybe they will be used to hide the slot machines.

The part TA who had arrnaged the July 13th cruise worked the better part of a month to get them all on either the July 27th or June 29th cruise. You had to book through her to get all the extra perks she was arranging for them. At the time she and I were e-mailing each -- we didn't like the July 13th cruise. So we stayed with our TA and booked the 29th. Since I had wanted to meet her -- she and I had been e-mailing for a couple of years -- we hadn't made the final plans to get together when she died unexpectedly in March. Another person from the agency took over the final arrangements but I am not certain if the group got all the extra perks that she always paid for on her own -- not through the agency.

Neal -- you may recognize her name from CC -- Crystal Lady -- on C@ she was known as Shipmaven.

Yonnie, I recall the name vaguely. I have not spent much time on CC other than to research who was going to be on my cruises.
