April 12 Santiago to LA

It's a little discouraging that there aren't many messages on this forum. I'm hoping, though, that someone who plans to be on this cruise will see this and answer.

This will be our first cruise on NCL, and we have lots of questions

We'd also just like to connect with folks who will be on the cruise with us.

Anyone out there?

Dave

Great cruise Welcome to CLF Dave. We have several members that sail NCL, you can ask any questions you wish on the NCL Forum http://www.cruiselinefans.com/norwegian-cruise-line/ I hope you find others that are sailing with you

My Signature Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Not first cruise--First on Norwegian

I didn't express myself clearly enough, I see. We have taken two cruises prior to this one, a seven-day Caribbean on Holland America, and a 12-day transatlantic on Celebrity. We really enjoyed the longer cruise, so this one seemed a natural.

Oh! Well, congratulations on your first cruise on NCL!

Transatlantics are our favorite cruise itinerary. We love all the sea days!

Which Celebrity ship were you on? That is our favorite cruise line....with Royal Caribbean a close second.

Sounds like an amazing cruise. We have sailed twice with NCL and were impressed or we'd not taken the second adventure. That's very little experience with NCL as we sailed on the Star twice. You're sure to hear soon from others with NCL experience.

Hi, Char,

We were on Century, on their way to be refurbished. All the sea days were good, because it meant we had an entire week of pretty much the same activities each day. That threw us together with the same people over and over, and we had time to make some lasting friendships.

Debbie,

It's encouraging to hear good words about Norwegian. We'll be on that boat 18 days, so both good points and annoyances will probably be magnified.

I'm not real excited about the open dining concept, for example. It appears all the good food will cost extra, and come with the hassle of having to make reservations. My wife will miss the formal nights, too. But, I'm sure there are compensations.
