Cool! Isn't that right during Mardi Gras?

Yes, I found out after booking that it is mardi gras week, so we are arriving on saturday, a day early to experience New Orleans during mardi gras time. As my wife works for the NYC school system that was the only week we could go and it worked out great.

Cool, where are you staying? We are staying at the Marriott on Canal. Our DD has stayed there and says it is a nice hotel.

We booked thru NCL and they gave us the Intercontinental on ST Charles a couple of blocks from the French Quarter. The streetcar runs right outside, so I will ride it and walk to the quarter, the river etc. Thank god I have another cruise in 2 weeks so I an not going crazy yet looking forward to New Orleans cruise.
