    SPIRIT from NOLA 1-20-08

    Hi,

Anyone else on this cruise? We have been solid Carnival fans, but decided to branch out, plus this is a great itinerary. Been on most of the local cruises from Galveston, so thought we would try this.

Has anyone heard of the Freestyle 2.0, and know if it will be implemented on Spirit soon? I want the lobster (almost) every night!!!

Also, has the Spirit repaired completely from her engine fire of several weeks ago? They had to drop Guatamala for a couple cruises, but I really want to go there. It is part of the reason we are going on this ship!

I have not been on the Spirit yet, but am planning on doing so sometime next year. I agree that the itinerary is outstanding.

I did do NCL Sun out of New Orleans on about the same itinerary and REALLY liked it.

When Spirit was repositioning to New Orleans a few weeks ago, I caught a glimpse in Cozumel and the ship looks wonderful to me.

Thanks for the info. I will post when I get back. I am usually a pretty "happy cruiser" where not much bothers me. We tend to have fun no matter what! We have had some very unusual things happen to us in the past, including Cuban Air Force practicing maneuvers over us, picking up raft people, near miss where we were almost on our side (could only see sky on one side, sea on the other, and everything in the dining room went flying), Cat 5 hurricane in the gulf when we left Galveston (we had no idea where we were going, and simply didn't care!). All in all, we have had a great time! Oh ya, I forgot the aerobics class right over our head at 6 a.m. on our honeymoon! That was a good one!
