Yes Char, it did happen on the same ship. It occurred while the ship was docked in St. Georges, Bermuda. It was in June of this year and the guy died of his injuries.

Almost all ships since the late 80's have a multistory atrium. I had guessed that this is was where the fall took place, but the article above suggests possibly another way to get hurt. If he fell at 4 in the morning, there probably were not a lot of witnesses to explain what happened.

The fact that he was combative when he was removed corroborates the idea that he was drunk when he fell - and was still under the influence hours later.
