Why not write your own "Once upon a time" as you explore some of the most beautiful cities in Europe? Norwegian Jade has 10 international restaurants, plus 10 bars and lounges so you can dine and drink where, when and with whom you choose. Add to that the most innovative accommodations on the high seas, and you'll see there's no limit to the Freestyle choices for fun and relaxation aboard Norwegian Jade.

    • Alizar Main Restaurant - This modern dining room is an inspiration of Mark Rothko's artwork with decorative walls and subtly changing colors. The cuisine is superbly prepared by award-winning chefs.
    • Le Bistro French Restaurant - This ornate French restaurant offers a menu of traditional and contemporary French gourmet fare. Exceptional value, worth the price.
    • Jasmine Garden Asian Restaurant - This elegant adventure into Pan Asian fare is a world-class experience in the finest Japanese, Thai, Chinese cuisine, plus many more authentic Asian dishes. Exceptional value, worth the price.
    • Papa's Italian Restaurant - Enjoy a good Italian meal in the casual atmosphere of a village Trattoria or traditional Italian farmhouse kitchen.
    • Cagneys Steakhouse Restaurant - This upscale, traditional steakhouse with all the trimmings is just the sort of place you might find Dick Tracy. Themed to match, the colors are vintage. Just like the man himself. Exceptional value, worth the price.
    • Magnum's Champagne & Wine Bar - Some moments just call for champagne. And this is the place to enjoy it. Magnum's is an Art Nouveau inspiration of Charles Rennie Mackintosh's design elements, colors and artwork.
    • Medusa Cabaret Lounge & Nightclub - Get ready to dance until the wee hours in this high-energy lounge and nightclub. There are also three private Karaoke Rooms that can be reserved for private parties.
    • Mixer's Martini & Cocktail Bar - How do you like your martini? Shaken, not stirred? The bartender will make a point of knowing exactly what you like at Mixers, where Art Deco meets the making of cocktails
    • The Atrium
    • Tapas & Salsa Restaurant - This modern Tapas bar features hot/spicy Latin Tapas.
    • Sushi Bar - The Jasmine Garden Asian Restaurant also has a Sushi Bar where you can enjoy the very best sushi expertly prepared as you watch. The menu is priced a la carte.
    • Teppanyaki Room - Within the Jasmine Garden Asian Restaurant is Teppanyaki - a truly authentic Asian dining experience. Sit at a large table of 10 where the process of preparing your food right before your eyes is both entertaining and impressive. Exceptional value, worth the price.
    • Internet Cafe - No matter how far you are from home, having access to the Internet is always nearby at the Internet Cafe. Original works of art by a wide range of well-known artists are on display and can be purchased.
    • Star Bar - There was this gangster back in the 20's named Cagney. This is his kind of bar. Order a cocktail. Relax. The days of prohibition are long over.
    • Topsiders Bar & Grill - On deck near the Pools is Topsiders, a full bar and grill in close proximity to an ample sunning area and two hot tubs. Think of it as a total resort experience.

Did you enjoy the ship? Heard the food and service was poor? Is this true? We leave on Friday and I'm getting nervous!

I think you have asked this question twice. Please read my Jade review elsewhere on this site. I enjoyed the ship so much that I have booked her again for late next year. Many people look at a cruise and feel that they have to point out every problem that they had and reading what they write you would think they had the worst time every. Our cruise on the Jade was one of the best we have every had, a lot of that had to do with the people we meet and the places we saw. We enjoyed every meal that we had on board. the buffet was busy in the morning but they opened extra areas for us to eat in. They were busy because on port days everyone wanted off the ship at the same time to meet up with tours. Don't let others impressions drive your enjoyment of your much deserved holiday. Complainers will pull you down to their level. We were in a balcony on deck 9 and it was great, no problems with our room what so ever. Our meals were great and we ate in a wide variety of restaurants. Have a great time,
    Tom
