Thread: Norwegian Star now saiing from Tampa

The Star has a new home port - Tampa, Florida.

She is doing a seven night Western Caribbean itinerary, calling at Roatan, Belize, Costa Maya, and Cozumel. What a great itinerary.

The Star will be sailing out of Tampa through mid April, when she'll reposition to New York to do Bermuda sailings.

Great news for Florida residents. Now - the Gem is based in NYC now doing some 7 night Bahamas runs, correct?

So, does the Gem leave NYC when the Star arrives?

I answered my own question with the site SEARCH function. Shocking!

The question of the Gem being displaced came up last week on this thread: Norwegian Breakaway To Homeport in NYC (Announcement: Norwegian Breakaway to homeport out of NYC!)

According to statements from NCL, the Breakway will NOT displace the Gem, which will continue to sail year round out of NYC. The Star will sail 15 times from NYC before being replaced.
