Thread: What made you decide to give NCL a try?

It sailed out of NYC so I could drive to the port.
it was my first cruise ever so i had nothing to compare it to.

I was very drawn to their brochure (back when there were magazine type ones) and the fact they had a private island. The pictures were beautiful and the island sold me.

We are sailing on the Epic in March 2012 as our first cruise on NCL. We have a group of 20 or so family members who are booked so we decided it would be a good time give it a try. All of our other cruises have been on Royal Caribbean. It will be good opportunity to compare the cruise lines and their different styles.

went to l.a. liked the fact that they were going to acapulco as i'd always wanted to go. got hooked there and then.

Because I wanted freedom to dine when I wanted where I wanted and to dress as I do on holiday on land. Smart casual.

Change NYC to Tampa, and the same will be true with me if I get on the Jewel for a cruise to nowhere. I can't take a long vacation, so the cruise can only be three days max and must start and end in either Jacksonville or Tampa. That is the only reason to take a Norwegian cruise for me and my mom, who cannot get away any longer because of her job.
