Anyone done the cave tubing in Belize thats offered through NCL? We are considering doing it, esp. since you don't have to do a lot of walking like you do if you book it yourself. Is it fun?

Describe "cave tubing" to me. We did "snuba" which is a cross between snorkel & scuba while we were in St. Thomas. It was great. I'd do it again in a heart beat. We were on Holland America & they didn't offer it, so I found it on the internet. That's the first time we have ever done our own shore excursion & I was pretty apprehensive about it. But it worked out great!

Basically you are on a huge intertube with a spelunker hat (the cool one with the light) and you ride on the intertube down the river, through a series of underground caves. On one of them, you end up in a lake in which you can swim and there are mayan ruins right there to explore. It sounds like fun.. at least I hope it is!

Hey, that sounds like a cool shore excursion that you wouldn't find everywhere. Let us know if you go & what you think. I love shore excursions that are an adventure, they always end up being the highlight of our trip.

Just a slight warning folks...if you are the least bit claustrophobic this is not for you! Some of the cave ceilings are barely above your face....
