In the improvments they will have a new/improved kids/family Aqua park area. It will carry a as yet to be determined fee. They are also adding a jet ski attraction and cutting a new cove into the island to act as a new docking area for the tenders.
That and more are included in the press release at the beginning of this thread.

If I don't know the answer I'm fairly certain I can find it.

got to say it needs it as it was looking slightly tired JMO.

great lack of sand to the right of the bridge area in fact it was roped off (feb 27 2010 )
more rest rooms are needed as well as other things being upgraded.
having said that i still enjoy going thereas it's got really good water.

I think moving to tenders away from the main beach may bring more fish back to the snorkeling area.

The lack of sand has to do with the hurricane season of 2008 and they have not recovered. The changes are indeed long over due and I look forward to seeing the new GSC since lately we have treatd GSC as a sea day aboard the ship.

john, i think what they're doing is a good thing. i just wish they'd stop going to samana. i have never seen so many people get on a tender and then come back well inside the hour mark. even aussie john theCD on the dawn was cracking jokes about the place.

The only saving grace of Samana is the Cayo Levantado excursion. But, the pricing for that is getting to ridiculous point for what you get. Our next time there is probably a seas day.

ours was this time and i'm really not in favour of that when there's land to be explored.
