What is it, that you like the best about NCL??

I really like Freestyle dining. I like having choices to eat where it want, when I want. I like choosing to eat with the people I chose to eat with. It is fun for me to meet people on the ship and share a meal with them getting to know them. When my seating has been assigned I have had some great table mates on one cruise but on another cruise there with some tablemates that we just didn't seem to have much to say to each other.

I also hate on the traditional cruise lines where you are assigned an early dinner time and you come in from a shore excursion where you have to rush to shower and change for dinner. I like to be able to get back to the ship, leisurely relax, shower, get dressed (in resort casual) and get to the diningroom at a time of your choosing.

I too enjoy the Freestyle concept. It does make the cruise that little bit more relaxing, knowing that you don't have to be regimented with meals and activities to fit around those meals.

The times I read about evening meal times being moved and the passenegers complaining that they had to rush about after a day off the ship, none of this happens on NCL ships, everything is as leisurely as you want to make it.

I would also like to vote the best thing about NCL is the Freestyle dining. I also like the choice of the specialty restaurants. The food in the included dining was OK, no big deal one way or the other, but the specialty restaurants were outstanding.

A lot of people knock NCL for customer service, but so far, I have no such complaints at all.

Infact due to all the flack that they have been getting on the other site I just sent Colin Veitch an email commenting on how I feel about the way I have been treated by the ship's crew and the landbased staff. I am a more than satisfied customer of NCL and I don't foresee that changing.

As a footnote to this post, within 5 minutes of sending the email, I received a personal reply from Mr Veitch, thanking me for my 'kind words of support' and wishing me great cruises in December and September, and how nice it was to have someone with travel trade experience understand the difficulties faced in times of bad weather and so forth in making everyone happy.

Now that, to me, is excellent customer service.

I love freestyle as all mentioned above. I have also has wonderful time with the crew. They are so friendly.

Freestyle. I know it's not for everyone but it works great for us. Also being able to leave out of New York.

We really enjoy the freestyle of dining. Also on the Star great food in the Blu Lagoon. It is nice to order right off a menu and have great fresh hot food. Cheese,bacon potatoes and the fish and chips are to die for.

I agree. I love the potatoes and the fish and chips at the blue lagoon. You are making me so hungry.
