NCL and Jet2.com

NCL and Jet2.com have just inked small partnership which will allow agents to fly their customers from local departure points to join a selection of Mediterranean sailings from Venice and Barcelona.

Agents will no be able to book flights from Manchester or Edinburgh direct to Venice. Norwegian Gem’s new seven-night alternating and combinable ‘Venice and the Greek Isles’ and ‘Venice and the Aegean Sea’ sailings depart from Venice, beginning in April 2010.

From October 16th, direct Manchester to Barcelona flights will be available for passengers to join Norwegian Jade’s new seven-night Mediterranean Treasures itinerary on its peak season sailings from May to September 2010.

Customers will not incur any additional regional supplements for the direct departures whilst agents will receive support from NCL’s in-house teams to ensure smooth booking processes.

Rydon,

Excellent. I am glad to hear that this offering is being utilized by the public.
Please do let us know if you experience any problems whatsoever and if you have any additional comments about this new setup with NCL and the UK and European passengers.

Its a great idea and hopefully, they will execute it well.

Thanks for posting, Rydon....much appreciated. Feel free to start a Roll Call.

Hi
First time we sailed with NCL we were only offered a Heathrow departure which we took but its a good 3 to 4 hour car journey back here from there. The second time we booked our own connecting flights from Liverpool (we are fairly close to Liverpool and Manchester) but it meant going out the day before in case the flight was cancelled or delayed. It worked fine but there was the extra expense of an overnight stay etc.

Thomas Cook (TA) had indicated that there may well be regional flights introduced so we were pleased to find that NCL had teamed up with Jet 2 as the flight times are great. No hanging about after disembarkation. We fly out at 11.30am. Should be home for a late lunch!

Will let you know how it all works!
