    Beautiful, beautiful!
I am not sure who took the picture but its a standard picture of the Geiranger Fjord.....Its taken on the aproach to one of the farms on the cliffs overlooking the fjord.
I have walked from the village of Geiranger to this farm, it takes around 3 hours (one way)

I was wondering if it was one that "A" had taken since he is such an avid photographer.

Lars - If you were planning your one and only cruise of the Norwegian fjords, would you choose HAL or Hurtigruten? We are seniors with some walking difficulties. Appreciate your input.
    Thanks, BarbR

    Hi BarbR
I would have choosen HAL (or another cruise line) and not Hurtigruten.
Hurtigruten make more stops then any cruise ship but they are short stops, sometimes less then 1 hour, in the ports. Some of the ports are even visited during the late evening and night.
Also, Hurtigruten are not cruise ships. If you want something to eat apart from your breakfast-Lunch or dinner you have to pay for it. The food is expensive.
I dont think you get to choose from an a la carte menu but you will have to make do with a set 3 course meal for dinner. Breakfast and lunch I belive is buffet style.
Hurtigruten make a wonderful voyage but I think its for the special interested.

Thank you so much, Lars. We're hoping for summer 2010 but no definite plans as yet.

If you can book with Saga (not sure if you can) then Sage Ruby would be a wonderful ship, for you. She is small (24,000 tonnes) with the public rooms on one deck and the dinning room on the deck below.

Thanks, Stephen. I'll look into that possibility.
