New Zealand are working hard to contain an oil spill off a stricken cargo ship in Tauranga, NZ.

Grounded on October 5 it has continued to leak oil into the water massively impacting the environment of this pituresque town.

Questions have been asked as to whether this will affect the cruise industry with 82 vessels expected to pull into port over the coming season. With no cruise shipcancellations thus far it is good news, with tourism being one of the biggest industries for this coastal community.

Ships will continue to pull into port as per usual and as stated by Tourism NZ please continue to travel to this beautiful country and support this community as they clean up!
