I used to read National Geographic Magazine and they always had pictures of NZ and it looked so beautiful I'd always dreamed of going there. He made it happen.
We flew to Australia and spent a week on the eastern coast near Brisbane. After that we flew to NZ and took a 10 day land tour. We were on the most amazing tour and visited all over the South Island, and a few places on the North Island. One of my favorite stops was in Queensland and the Remarkable Mountains. All of this was before we discovered cruising.
Unfortunately, this happened before I discovered digital camera. I took over 1000 pictures and you can imagine the cost I had to have the pictures developed. They are amazing pictures and every time I look at them, I want to go back.
