New Zealand - Australia Review & Photos

Just in case anyone is interested, I have just finished the EasyShare Photo album. It has 548 photos of our Diamond Princess Cruise. You can access it by going to our website at www.thepreismans.com and clicking on NZ - Australia yellow button. Scroll down to the end of the review and you will find link to the album.

    Enjoy ---

Now that is what I call a vacation, my sister and I were planning to go on that same Australia/NZ cruise on the Diamond Princess. I would like to know if you flew coach on Qantas and how was it in terms of comfort on such a long flight. We were looking at either First or Business Class, but handing over $11,000 and $16,000 respectively seemed excessive, from Ft. Lauderdale, which was a consideration in whether we would make the trip or not. For me, as long as I have an isle seat in coach I'm fine. Very nice pictures and I can see you had a great time.

We booked our airfare through Princess because we were doing a pre and post cruise. Mike usually books our own air, but this time it was cheaper through Princess when he figured in the deviation, transfers, and hotel packages. We flew coach and were surprised at the leg room we had on both Air New Zealand and on Quantas. We had picked aisle seats online when we received our flights from Princess. When we got to the airport, they had changed the aircraft they were using, so those seat assignments were no longer valid. However, the girl was able to get us both aisle seats across from each other.

Thanks for the info. They considered the length of the flight and gave more room between seats. I'll arm myself with this information and share it with her. We'll most likely do this next year at the beginning or end of the year (summertime there). Thanks again.
