I'm sailing from Cape Liberty, NJ March 26th. From what I've heard about it the views of Manhattan are not as good as from leaving further North and heading down the river.

Tracey - give us a report...

We are looking at a Bermuda cruise next year and we could combine a 5 day cruise with a visit to my daughter who lives on Long Island. Have heard mixed reviews of NJ port and would appreciate your opinions when you get back!

P.S. - What part of Della-Wer are you from? I attended Wesley College when tests were given on cave walls...grew up in Ocean City, MD.

    Light - cave walls LOL

I live in Hockessin - very near the PA line. I was born in the old Wilmington Hospital which is now gone and lived in Chester County for a long time. I've been back in Hockessin for a while. I've had many fun times in Ocean City, MD. My 90 year old grandmother still lives in Rehoboth Beach so we do go down quite a lot.

I'll let you know how the port is.

    Patty,

I presume you are referring to sailing out of the West Side piers in Manhattan. I can answer any questions you might have.

The views form the West side piers are great. Unfortunetly, since 9/11, it is just not the same.

You're so right, Terry. But the best sight is sailing under the Verazzano Bridge, knowing that you're on the way to a great vacation.
