Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.
Except for the repositioning cruises, the other ships make round trip 7 day cruises of the Western Caribbean. They are only in New Orleans for the winter, and move elsewhere in the summer.

On hiatus from cruising, but still very interested!!!
So which ships would sail in May? Just Carnival?
Thanks.
Cathy
According to smartcruiser.com, that's true. They have 2 different ships, one making 7 day cruises, the other alternating between 4 and 5 days. (or 3 and 4?)

Carnival is the only cruise line which sails year round from New Orleans (Conquest and Sensation).
Norwegian Dream is in New Orleans from November through March for 7 day cruises which departs on Sundays.
The RCL Grandeur of the Seas does 7 day cruises November through May which departs on Saturdays.
The Golden Princess is due to sail from New Orleans beginning in December 2006 for 7 day cruises departing on Saturdays.
I do not know about Carnival or NCL, but RCI has the Grandeur of the Seas going out of New Orleans frm early December thru April. This year it returns to New Orleans on December 3rd, 2005. It then returns to Baltimore on May 12. Actually it leves April 29th, 2006 for a 7 night cruise to San Juan and then continues on to Baltimore, a 6 night cruise.
The Grandeur of the Seas, though an older ship, is a lovely ship. It happens to be my favorite of all RCI ships and I have sailed on all the classes they have.
Hope this answers part of your question.
