Our TA Noordam cruise docks there for a short day. I was just wondering where the ships dock so I could see if walking to a couple of the gardens is doable??? Understand it's very overpriced, but we may go visit the Royal Botanical gardens and the Japanese gardens as well as taking in the changing of the guard.

Why do you say "always" nedstar? According to HAL's official website and Cruise Critic, that is sometimes a dock port.

After reading about what is there - some of the kinds of things I love to see on vacations - I am looking forward to going there someday. So what if it is overpriced? You are on vacation and probably can't get the same experiences in a cheap city. Why do you think the Princess slogan is "Escape completely"?

Until a few years ago Monaco didnt have any docking facility.
However, now they have but it can not accomodate larger ships.
I think the largest is around 50 000 tons (!?!?)

Right, I'm just back from cruise with the Noordam and also visit Monaco.
The large cruise ships all use tenderboot and no one is docking.
