Thread: Millennium-Sydney to Aukland 3/1/09

Just booked this cruise...they're having a great reduced air special right now and since we've always wanted to go to Australia and New Zealand we decided to go for it. I was surprised that the ship is filling up rapidly and early dining is already closed with no wait-list. Apparently, lots of other fellow cruisers want to go down-under too.

We're on the 12/07/08 Sydney to Auckland cruise. I know that that one is very filled up as well becuase a couple of weeks ago, I looked at moving from starboard to port side to take advantage of more sunsets from our Concierge room veranda. It was pretty packed in so we didn't move. In some ways wished I'd done the airfare in advance too, but our itinerary is a bit complex as we may be living in Macau by Oct or Nov. Have fun!

Yes, we do live in Modesto....east side Village One not far from the new Raley's on Floyd and Roselle.

Mila, we are off of Scenic and Eastridge. We probably live about a mile apart

I just found out we need a Visa for Australia. I visited the Australian tourist site and saw that we can get one on-line and then the airline verifies it when you check-in for boarding. What's your thoughts on this?

I just looked at the on-line AUS Visa application and it looks pretty straight forward.

Yes, you're so close to here. Pretty darn cool! My real name is Alan and you can reach me at xxx-xxxx. I see you've been on Rhapsody of the Seas a couple of times. We sailed her to Alaska in 99' when she was pretty darn new. I also noticed she is in Cairns on Dec 6th this year when we are there for a short pre-cruise visit. I look forward to seeing her in the harbor. I think though that if I was booking another cruise right now it would be on Solstice given the price reductions that were just announced today and the early delivery of the ship.

Just noticed your post. Where are you coming from? We're in Northern CA. We'll be spending four days in Cairns prior to the cruise. Should be awesome!
