    Smile What Miami hotel has the best view of the port/ships?

    Anyone have a hotel recommendation with best view of port/ships? Preferably a hotel with a tower near the turning basin.

    At hotels.com check under landmarks for cruise port and get all hotels within 1/2mile. You can then go to each site individually and look at a map.

    I did some further research and the Intercontinental was recommended. Anyone else agree or have another suggestion?

    We were very pleased with it. Get a harbour view room and you can watch the cruise ships. It is close to Bayside with its shopping and restaurants. Very short shuttle ride to the port and there is a free transit in the area. We enjoyed our 3 nights there in April 2011.
