Rooms in Miami?

If this has been covered before, sorry but I'm still learning to nav this forum.

1st cruise. NCL Pearl, this Sunday (Nov 16-23). Flying into MIA Sat night.

Any suggestions for: hotels to stay Sat night? Transportation to the docks Sun morning?

Time's getting short, excitement is increasing, we're sure we are going to forget something but WTH, we're committed regardless.

/Bill

Some of our folks have stayed here and recommend it.

La Qunta East La Quinta Inn - Miami, FL - Miami Airport Hotel free continental breakfast in the morning, with free shuttle to the pier.

Thanks for the question as I had the same. I think I am going to go the same route with a small twist.

We are flying into FLL (Ft. Lauderdale) due to costs of flying into MIA (Miami). I read here from someone about taking the train from FLL to MIA for only a few dollars. So, I plan to do that then take advantage of the shuttle from MIA to the room then from MIA to the cruise dock.

Can you believe it is almost a 500 dollar difference between airports? I guess since we are flying from SWF (Newburgh, NY) there are less options.

HI, I hope you have checked this out completely before deciding to takethe train. It is a distance from airport to train, and then you will have to carry all of your luggage. I would suggest into looking for a shuttle to take you to Miami, although it is a little costly, not sure right now what the prices are. Hope I can get some time today and check it out for you.

Thanks!

I am looking into all options, hotel not even booked yet. I have until January before the trip. I did consider doing a taxi or limo the costs however are about 65 and up. I spoke to my G/F and she does not mind carrying luggage on and off the train due to the cost of the train (4 bucks).

So, if you see something please feel free to let me know as we are not locked into flights, hotel, or rides back and forth.
