Thread: Superbowl in Miami for 2007 Book Your Room Now!

If you are cruising out of Miami in Jan & Feb. of 2007 book a hotel room now!!!!
The NFL is going to be in Miami for the superbowl for this years season!

Superbowl will be February 4th (I hear) so if you're sailing out of there anywhere from a week before until the week after, you'd better get your reservations soon.

Hi MC, I agree. My sister works for Boeing and she was trying to find rooms for some people that needed to be in Detroit for business. She couldn't get them in for a week and a half on either side of the game. Granted Miami has alot more rooms but start figuring out how many people you're looking at. There are alot of folks that go that don't even go to the game. They are there for the party. The airlines are going to be a problem, also.

Detroit has 2 airports, and Miami sort of shares with FLL. But the East Coast of Florida is pretty dense in the winter. So you are going to have:

• winter residents
• vacationers
• MANY cruisers
  1. because Miami is the biggest cruise hub in the US if not the world and
  2. because many ships have relocated from Alaska and Europe to Florida for the winter

and on top of that you will have SuperBowl insanity.

When we had the SuperBowl here, hotels 50 miles from the stadium were going for outrageous prices. People were renting out homes for as much as 6 months' mortgage payments. I saw B&Bs out halfway to Austin doubling their prices. Too more greediness for me.

MC, I'm thinking of renting out my home during the 2010 Olympics!!

If you provide room service, I'll take you up on that.

Yep, lodging costs are ridiculous for Super Bowl.
