Whale-wathcing from Oosterdam Mexican Riviera Cruise in December?

Taking my recently widowed Mom in November or December 2008 on the Oosterdam to the Mexican Riviera to celebrate her 70th birthday and my 40th. First time cruising for both of us. Trying to find out if it's worth waiting until mid-Decmember in order to maybe see some whales from the ship. Can this be done? Thanks.

Wish I could help, but I have never been there in Dec. I have heard many report of seeing whales from their ship during Dec & Jan. I say anything is possible, so it wont hurt to try Hopefully others who have done this will reply!

The Gray whales migrant down from the Bering Sea and end up in Mexico between mid December through March. So if you can wait until the middle of December, I would say you would have a pretty good chance of seeing some right from the deck of the ship.

    Welcome to CLF too!!!
