Can you give me some details on this? What did you like about it, how much did it cost, what all did you do, how much time did it take? We are going to Cozumel next year and would love to hear more about this excursion! Thanks!!

Cool

They were waiting on the dock, so there was no confusion there. It was $57.00 per person. We are in our 40's and we had two daughters with, one 20 and the other 16. None of us had ever snorkeled before, but were able to follow their instructions with no problem. It was really cool! However, if you are a seasoned snorkeler, you may be dissapointed because all we say were fish under 1 foot long. No turtles, sharks etc. But for us it was just fine. The crew was very friendly and outgoing. There was a big party atmosphere on the boat with free margaritas and free beer. There was dancing and everyone seemed to enjoy it no matter how old they were. The beach they take you to is wonderul!!! It is private and has lots to do and still had free beer and margaritas. The only thing that wasn't wonderful was the food. We were supposed to get the food free, I thought. It was $9.00 per person. Ther burgers were large, but they were the pre-maid ones that I hate! The salads were not that good either. My husband and kids liked the burgers though. After you have had a few drinks, they did hit the spot though.

This was one of my family's favorite things we did on our cruise and I would highly reccommend it!!

I booked this same excursion online before we left on the Carnival ship-Holiday. We were looking forward to it ALOT! But alas when we arrived in Cozumel (after being canceled in Progreso) we found out the excursion was going to be canceled due to strong winds. We were lucky that we were able to change our excursion to the Mini Jeep and Snorkel (Punta Sur was where we went)Felix, Al, and Tony took great care of us and we had a great time. I will have to try again the next time I go on a cruise to do this excursion.

As for how they meet you. They are all standing in a clear area just before you get to all the shops. They are holding signs and they are clearly marked with each type of excursion. They will lead you to where they have you get into what they call "Mexican limos". They are large open air buses.

Most of the snorkeling tours do give you a lesson on how to use the equipment. Make sure you do read what kind of activity level it is. The Mini Jeep and Snorkel is very strenuous. The snorkeling is over a reef that stretches about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile...and you are swimming that distance...you first have to swim out (a good 150+ yards) and then swim over the reef and swim to shore and then walk to where you started...

If you want more info on this excursion just ask...

The Fury Catarmaran snorkeling is not strenuous at all. It's a pretty small area and the boat is very close.
