Newly picked- one od new 7 wonders of the world- Chichen Itza, Mexico

    <H3>Chichen Itza, Mexico

According to legend, Chichen Itza was the work of Quetzalcoatl (Feathered Serpent), a warrior-priest of the Toltects.

During the spring and fall equinoxes, the sun and moon align perfectly for half an hour, creating the silhouetted shadow of a sacred snake slithering down the side of the pyramid.

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me! I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Just checked RCCL.com, and found out that you can tour this site from the port of call of Progresso.

Royal Caribbean ships calling there include the Rhapsody of the Seas and Boyager fo the Seas, sailing out of Galveston; and the Grandeur of the Seas, sailing out of Tampa.

I think Carnival makes quite a few calls there, as well.

So, there's ample opportunity to see this 'new' ancient wonder while cruising!
