    Cruiselines Drop Mazatlan Calls

    Norwegian Drops Mazatlan Calls

Following more violence, Norwegian Cruise Line has cancelled calls through April in Mazatlan on the Mexican Riviera. for the Norwegian Star. Instead Norwegian will spend another day at Cabo San Lucas, similar to what Disney announced in January with the Wonder.

Carnival Cruise Lines also cancelled a call this week for the Carnival Splendor.

In looking ahead to the spring of 2012 there will be a lot fewer sailings to Mexico next year.

We're looking towards Alaska in 2012. On another thread I heard our cruise in 33 days has dropped Mazatlan but when I looked on the Princess site I saw no changes. I have Reggie checking for me... This is going to be our 11th cruise to Mexico and we've cruised the last five or so times just for the convenience and the ship experience. We've enjoyed seeing and learning more about Mexico over the years and it's very sad what is happening in that country...

    Unhappy

That is so sad - Mazatlan is so beautiful and the people are very friendly. I have always felt safe there.
